Norms Of Rotaract

These norms (principles) have been developed over the years to provide Rotarians and Rotaractors with a strong, common purpose and direction. They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.

The Grace

Statement: For what we have received and what we are about to receive, may we always be thankful and ever mindful of the needs of others.  
Response: Amen

4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do
   1. Is it the TRUTH?
   2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
   3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
   4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Loyal Toast

Statement: May we toast to the highest office in the country.
Response: To his excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda.

Final Toast

Statement: For the wonderful fellowship that we have had, I give you Rotary International.
Response: Rotary World over.

5 Goals of Rotary

— To develop professional and leadership skills.
— To emphasize the respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations.
— To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world.
— To provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs.
— To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
